Breastfeeding Workshop: Attention all Health Care Professionals

The Niagara Region Public Health Department offers free, 2 hours workshops to pregnant mothers, their partners and supportive family members and friends. Information is provided to help these mothers get off to a good start with breastfeeding and help them cope with any challenges they may face.

Public Health welcomes any Health Care Professional who supports breastfeeding families to attend a workshop and learn the up to date, evidence based practices being taught.

Public Health welcomes nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, doulas, midwives, students, LLL leaders, prenatal teachers and anyone else who provides teaching and support to these families. Anyone who owns a pump rental depot may also be interested in attending workshop.

Best Start Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Breastfeeding Web Course

The course provides basic breastfeeding education and supports good communication skills. It continues to be user-friendly and takes one to one and a half hours to complete. References are listed following lesson seven.
